Sam was brought on board right at conception for this six-part series celebrating 11 vibrant young artists in London. He was Self shooting Director and Editor of the series.

Next Big Thing was created just after Lockdown as a way of helping young artists get back on their feet. Each participant was given the brief: to create a piece that encapsulated the ‘Spirit of London’. The programme followed 11 young artists as they create their works, and we learn a little bit more about each of them throughout the process

Shot during Covid lockdown, the series presented plenty of challenges to get right.
